The British Navy once again escorted Russian ships in its waters

In May, Royal Navy ships and helicopters twice monitored the activity of Russian vessels in British waters.
This was reported by the Royal Navy press service.
The British destroyer HMS Dragon monitored the Russian reconnaissance ship “Yuri Ivanov”, which was sailing near the Outer Hebrides, which are located off the coast of Scotland.
The incident occurred after the end of NATO exercises that were taking place nearby.
The destroyer launched a Merlin helicopter to collect information from the air. The operation continued until the Russian ship headed north to its base in the Arctic.
Meanwhile, HMS Ledbury and Hurworth, as well as 814 Naval Aviation Squadron, were involved in monitoring the Russian corvette “Stoyky”, which was sailing west across the English Channel to escort two Russian merchant ships.
“HMS Hurworth, based in Portsmouth, monitored their every move as the Russian group returned to the Baltic Sea,” the Royal Navy said.
In particular, the British Navy recalled that three weeks ago, the patrol ship HMS Tyne was deployed to monitor the Russian submarine Krasnodar.
