The Cabinet of Ministers agreed to forced withdrawal of Odesa Refinery in the interests of the state


The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine agreed on the forced withdrawal in the interests of the state of the Odesa Oil Refinery.

According to ARMA’s proposal, the government agreed to the forced withdrawal of the Odesa Refinery, ARMA Deputy Chairman Pavlo Velikorechanin said on June 7.

“Today, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine agreed to the National Agency’s proposal for forced withdrawal in the interests of the state of Odesa Oil Refinery PJSC,” said the Deputy Chairman of ARMA.

According to Pavel Velikorechanin, this decision allows for the compulsory seizure of the object of property rights of the Russian Federation and its residents, which concerns corporate rights in the amount of 99.5766% of the shares of this plant and its debt obligations to residents of Russia, as well as 100% of the authorized capital of the LLC. Energy and Gas Ukraine”.

Earlier, on the instructions of the President of Ukraine, the government and ARMA developed a road map for the further development and use of the capacities of the arrested Odesa Oil Refinery PJSC, which before the arrest belonged to a pro-Russian businessman.

Previously, the plant was owned by the Russian company Lukoil, which sold it in 2013 to fugitive businessman Serhiy Kurchenkov.
