The cadets of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine underwent cyber security training within the framework of the NATO program


Cadets of the Institute of Naval Forces took part in cyber security training within NATO, which took place in Bulgaria.

The training took place in Varna, Bulgaria. It was organized by the Nikolay Vaptsarov Naval Academy, the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

The training lasted from May 26 to June 1. From the Ukrainian side, seven cadets of the 2nd training course, who master the specialization “Ship weapons and means of navigation”, took part in it. They received basic training and familiarized themselves with the field of cyber security, taking into account the experience of NATO member states, and the officer who accompanied the cadets studied the mechanisms of teaching this discipline at the Bulgarian Naval Academy.

In general, the participants received comprehensive industry information for the further implementation of the program of in-depth study of disciplines related to the solution of specialized and practical tasks to ensure information and cyber security of information and telecommunication systems and information protection software.

The training became part of the implementation of NATO’s Military Education Improvement Program (DEEP).
