The captain of the “Zaporizhzhia” submarine will be tried for treason

The traitor-captain of the “Zaporizhzhia” submarine will be tried according to the materials of the SBI: in 2014, he went over to the side of the enemy.
The employees of the State Bureau of Investigation have completed a special investigation regarding Captain 1st rank Robert Shageev. Since 2011, he commanded the only Ukrainian submarine “Zaporizhzhia” and handed it over to the occupiers in 2014.
The captain not only gave the ship to the aggressors, but also betrayed his oath and joined the armed forces of russian federation.
Currently, Shageev is the deputy commander of the 4th separate brigade of submarines of the Black Sea Fleet of russian federation and is fighting against Ukraine.
A former Ukrainian soldier is accused of treason (Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 15 years.
We would like to remind, that the SBI recently informed the ex-commander of the “Lutsk” corvette in absentia about suspicion of treason. In 2014, after russian occupation of Crimea, he joined the service of the invaders.
