The case of the port “Pivdennyi” will be referred to the court in six months
Already in February, the Specialized Anti-corruption Prosecutor’s Office will refer to the court a criminal proceeding regarding the assignment of more than UAH 60 million in damages to the SE “MTP Pivdennyi“.
The time limit for the defense party to get acquainted with the investigation was limited to January 31, 2023, “Slovo i Dilo” reports. Thus, as of February 1, the SAP prosecutor can send the indictment in this case to the court.
As a reminder, NABU informed the first deputy manager of the Pivdennyi port and ten other persons (Roman Inda, Oleg Traidakal, Mykyta Zherebtsov, Olga Sharapova, etc.) of suspicion of causing damage to the Yuzhnyi port in the amount of 47 million hryvnias.
The investigation established that during 2017-2018, Traidakalo and the head of a private company, Mykyta Zherebtsov, organized a scheme according to which the Pivdennyi MTP state-owned enterprise illegally overpaid UAH 47 million during the purchase of goods.
The officials acted in a conspiracy and involved a number of other people to implement their plans. This allowed them to fully control the entire procurement process, from the formation of the procurement need and the drafting of the tender documents in such a way as to ensure that the companies controlled by the scheme promoters win the bidding. In total, the investigation recorded 29 such tenders.
