The checkpoint “Jagodzin-Dorohusk” on the border with Poland was unblocked
The checkpoint “Jagodzin-Dorohusk” on the border with Poland was unblocked for the passage of trucks.
According to the results of the negotiations of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development of Poland, the leadership of the Lublin Region succeeded in unblocking traffic at the Jagodzin-Dorohusk checkpoint, the Ministry of Reconstruction reported.
From May 15, the traffic of trucks resumed in normal mode.
The strike, which lasted more than 10 days, caused significant losses for Ukrainian carriers and exporters, said Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksandr Kubrakov.
However, Ukraine was able to find a solution and agree on the unblocking of traffic.
“I am grateful to our Polish colleagues for the joint decision and the return to the implementation of the provisions of the “transport visa-free” and agreements on the capacity of ” Jagodzin-Dorohusk “, Kubrakov commented.
Earlier, on May 7, the Ministry decided to temporarily suspend the requirement to have permits for Polish carriers carrying out transportation to Ukraine from any EU country. This was one of the key demands of the Polish strikers. At the same time, the Ministry’s position is that such transportation requires permits and is not bilateral. Clarification from the European Commission is currently awaited.
