The container ship Maersk will start operating between the port of Chornomorsk and the port of Constanta

Maersk launches the first container service to the ports of Great Odesa since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.

A vessel with a capacity of more than 1,100 TEU will operate on the service, which Maersk is launching in cooperation with the Ukrainian company Iteris.

As the analytical company Informall BG reported in a comment to The Loadstat publication, the container ship will travel between the port of Chornomorsk and the Romanian port of Constanta. Arkas, CMA CGM, Evergreen and MSC also operate on this route (between the ports of Odesa and Romania), Informal BG added.

At Informall BG, they say that in the near future, the volume of container transportation should double. We should also expect more shipping lines to join the new service.

It is worth noting that earlier Hapag-Lloyd and MSC announced their intention to resume operations in the ports of Ukraine.
