The contract on sale of the Bilhorod-Dnister port may be canceled
The company that was supposed to acquire the Bilhorod-Dnister sea port has changed owners.
The State Property Fund of Ukraine should additionally check the deal, writes Forbes.
It also became known that the company “Top-Offer”, which won the auction for the sale of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky port on November 7, was supposed to transfer UAH 108 million to the State Property account by December 5.
“The funds were deposited at the last moment,” said State Property Fund press secretary Maksym Ravchak.
In addition, on November 28, the beneficial owner of “Top-Offer” changed – instead of Yevhen Boguslavsky, he was replaced by Volodymyr Prodyvus – a businessman, former member of the “Party of Regions” and former president of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine.
“Now the buyer and the origin of the funds are being additionally checked,” Maksym Ravchak said.
According to him, the agreement on the sale of the port may eventually be canceled. The deadline for signing the privatization agreement is December 12.
As USM previously reported, the port was successfully privatized only on the 13th attempt.
