The cost of corn is increasing in Ukrainian ports

Since the beginning of this month, Ukrainian deep-water ports have seen a moderate increase in demand prices for feed corn.

This is reported by APK-Inform.

Analysts noted that the increase in purchase prices for corn is due to an extremely limited supply against the background of exhausted transitional stocks.

Another reason is the delay in the harvesting campaign, as well as active demand from exporters who urgently needed to form export batches of the required volumes.

Thus, in the ports of the greater Odessa region during the period under review, demand prices for feed corn increased by 8-9 USD/t (or 4-5%), and, as of September 25, are kept within the range of 203-215 USD/t CPT-port.

Earlier, USM reported that the tonnage deficit is pushing freight rates from Ukraine up.
