The Supreme Court has ruled to return land plots on the territory of the Adzhaliysky lyman in the Odessa region to the USPA.

The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine reported this.

The Cabinet of Ministers instructed the Ministry of Justice to file a lawsuit with the court to cancel illegal decisions of local governments and the registrar, as well as to remove obstacles to land use.

The disputed plots with a total area of over 3 hectares, which are actually the bottom of the estuary, were transferred to the State Enterprise “Sea Ports Authority of Ukraine”.

In 2017-2018, the lands were illegally withdrawn from state use and registered as communal. At the same time, these plots cannot belong to communal property according to the law.

The lawsuit was partially satisfied by the decision of the Commercial Court of the Odesa region and the Court of Appeal. On April 29, 2025, the Supreme Court upheld the decisions of the courts of previous instances, confirming the return of the lands to state use.

USM previously reported that a court had arrested a ship that the Russians had hijacked from the Kherson port.
