The decision to export ammonia from the Russian Federation should be in the interests of Ukraine – Danilov
The decision on the possibility of restoring the export of ammonia from Russia will be made only in terms of national security and interest of Ukraine.
The issue of exports of ammonia from the Russian Federation with Tolyatti-Odesa Pipeline is not easy, said NSDC Secretary Alexei Danilov, “Ukrinform” reports.
Danilov noted that the Russian Federation blackmails the world with fertilizers, because it has a monopoly together with Belarus for certain species.
However, the NSDC Secretary added that the issue of grain export that has accumulated millions of tons in Ukraine today is also a matter of national security, “because it is money that needs to be returned to our military, pay salaries, buy weapons.”
Earlier, USM said that the Russian Federation refuses to negotiate on the transit of ammonia pipeline Tolyatti-Odesa. Previously, Russia used the requirement to restore the work of the ammonia according to a blackmail tool.
Russia withdrew from the negotiation process, stating that its other requirements must initially be fulfilled. It is about the reconnection of the Rosselebank to the SWIFT system, the restoration of Russian exports of agricultural machinery, the abolition of restrictions on ship insurance and unlocking some foreign assets.
