The demand for grain in the ports of Odesa Region continues to fall
Last week, Ukrainian ports saw a decrease in traders’ demand prices for wheat and corn.
Demand prices for wheat and corn decreased in the ports of Greater Odessa last week. Such a situation on the market is observed due to the blocking of the work of the SCC by the russians, reports “APK-Inform”.
In general, the continuation of the “Grain Agreement” contributed to the recovery of trade in deep-sea ports. However, trade activity is limited by the low number of ship calls to the ports of Great Odesa. Thus, on April 6, without any warning, the Russian inspectors of the SCC refused to conduct inspections of vessels at the entrance to the Black Sea. According to the SCC, on this day only 1 vessel entered Great Odesa through the “grain corridor”. This increased pressure on prices in ports and reduced the activity of traders.
According to the results of the week in the ports of Odesa, corn prices fell to 183-195 USD/t SRT-port. Prices for export wheat fell to 190-197 USD/t SRT-port.
