The effect of US sanctions against Russian oil has now weakened, — Klymenko

The expert described how the effect of US sanctions against Russian oil had transformed as of the first decade of December.
Project manager of the Institute for Black Sea Strategic Studies Andriy Klimenko provided the latest data on Russian oil exports on Facebook.
Recall that in November, the volume of crude oil (the total deadweight of tankers of the corresponding type that exported oil from Russian ports in the Baltic Sea) amounted to 10.1 million tons, which is 15.01% less than the figure for October (11.8 million tons).
In October, analysts recorded 99 tankers, in November – 87.
This was the first effect that Russian oil sea exports demonstrated against the backdrop of the introduction of US sanctions against Rosneft and Lukoil – the effect of the “first scare”, Klimenko defined.
He emphasized that it is too early to draw further conclusions.
Thus, from November 1 to 10, experts recorded 23 tankers with a deadweight of 2.8 million tons — 30.9% less than the figures for the first decade of October.
From December 1 to 10, the project recorded 34 tankers with a deadweight of 3.8 million tons — 35.7% more than the figures for November.
“So far — in the first 10 days — it looks like the fear of “Trump sanctions” has passed. And then we’ll see,” Andriy Klimenko summarized.
Earlier, USM reported that Russia is increasing oil exports from the ports of the Baltic Sea.
