Estonian border guards detained a 38-year-old man at one of the bus stops. As it turned out, he was running away from the mobilization announced in russian federation. He was fined and sent back to russia.
The head of the border and migration surveillance service of the Ida prefecture, Eerik Purgel, said that since February, the state border of Estonia has been heavily guarded.
“In this case, it was an illegal crossing of the border, which was carried out due to fear of the mobilization announced in the neighboring country,” Purgel emphasized.
