The ex-commander of the “Ternopil” corvette was convicted of treason

The traitor was sentenced in absentia to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of personal property.
The former commander of the “Ternopil” anti-submarine corvette was sentenced to 15 years in prison for treason and desertion. This was reported in the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
Prosecutors proved in court that in 2014, during the occupation of Crimea, the convict betrayed his military oath. He refused to perform his military service duties in the Armed Forces and went over to the side of the enemy.
Later, the man served in the military as part of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The traitor performed the duties of the assistant commander of the patrol ship “Ladny”. The convict also took part in raids by the invaders and patrolling the captured Black Sea waters.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was carried out by the Mykolaiv TU the Bureua investigators for supporting the public indictment of the prosecutors of the Odesa specialized prosecutor’s office in the field of defense of the Southern region.
