The first modernized UDS vessel “Captain Antypov” is waiting for loading in the port of Serbia
The modernized vessel “Captain Antypov” of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company (UDS) is in the Serbian port of Pancevo.
The ship is waiting to load a caravan of barges. The UDS vessel itself is expected to start loading on Tuesday, November 5, the UDS reported.
The crew of the ship, including the captain Mykola Fedorov, refutes the rumors spread in the media and social networks that the ship is allegedly faulty – that is why it has not been loaded for so long.
“I am very satisfied with the ship. New engines are new engines. They are more powerful and work much quieter. I don’t even understand where the information comes from, as if we have some problems, who and why are they spreading them. Everything is fine with us, we are still in Pancevo, because the loading is too slow. This is the only reason,” commented the captain.
The captain also noted that possible minor nuances during the first voyage are normal for new equipment, but in general the ship is fully operational and the equipment works reliably.
Earlier, USM reported that the first modernized UDS vessel is entering service. Meanwhile, work on the modernization of the second vessel of the same type – Fedir Riabinin – continues at the ÖSWAG shipyard.
