The first ships arrive at Ukrainian ports through a temporary corridor
Two vessels are heading to Ukrainian ports through temporary sea corridors.
These are the first two vessels that will arrive in the ports of Ukraine after Russia’s withdrawal from the Grain Agreement.
“The bulk carriers RESILIENT AFRICA and AROYAT have confirmed their readiness to use the route to the entrance to the port of Chornomorsk to load almost 20,000 tons of wheat for the countries of Africa and Asia. The vessels are under the flag of Palau, and their crew consists of citizens of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Egypt and Ukraine,” said Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov.
As the minister recalled, the corridor previously established by the navigation mandate of the Armed Forces Navy was used for the evacuation of ships that were in the Ukrainian ports of Chornomorsk, Odesa, and Pivdenny.
In general, since August 15, 5 vessels have used the temporary corridor: container ship JOSEPH SCHULTE, bulk carriers PRIMUS, ANNA-THERESA, OCEAN COURTESY and PUMA.
