The forecast for the export of corn from Ukraine in the 2022/23 season has increased
The forecast for the production of Ukrainian corn remained unchanged, while exports may increase to 23.5 million tons.
Experts of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) have left unchanged their forecast of corn production in Ukraine in 2022/23 MR — 27 million tons. At the same time, the export of corn from Ukraine will increase by 1 million tons to 23.5 million tons, writes Latifundist.
Final balances were revised down to 2.39 million tons, which is 1 million tons below the February forecast.
According to the March report, the world corn harvest in 2022/23 MR will decrease by 3.84 million tons — to 1,147.52 million tons.
The estimate of world corn exports was reduced by 6.36 million tons to 174.71 million tons against 181.07 million tons in the previous report. According to forecasts of USDA experts, the final remains of corn in the world will increase to 296.46 million tons.
At the same time, analysts did not change their estimate of corn production in the USA — 348.75 million tons. The forecast of corn exports from the USA and ending stocks, according to the USDA, will be 46.99 million tons and 34.08 million tons.
The forecast for corn production in China was left unchanged — 277.20 million tons. According to analysts’ forecasts, imports of grain into China will not change and will amount to 18 million tons. Final stocks will be at the level of 207.32 million tons.
