The former head of ARMA told how the Defense Intelligence prevented an attempt to hijack Medvedchuk’s yacht

Thanks to the intervention of the Main Intelligence Directorate under the leadership of Kirill Budanov, it was possible to prevent the theft of the Royal Romance yacht.

The yacht is currently under arrest in Croatia, said the former head of the Asset Management and Tracing Agency (ARMA) Olena Duma in an interview with Natalia Moseychuk.

According to her, this is an attempt to illegally move a vessel arrested in the context of a case involving assets related to suspicion of high treason. The attempt was made at the moment when the arrest “took off”.

Seven Russian citizens who have already been deported from Croatia participated in the attempted hijacking. It was thanks to the operational work of Ukrainian intelligence that the asset was kept under state control.

The former head of ARMA noted that the Defense Intelligence units not only perform combat missions, but also ensure the safety of arrested state assets, preventing attempts to take them abroad.
