The FSB tried to investigate the coastal infrastructure of Odesa region

An SBU employee scouted for the FSB the geolocation of fortifications and engineering barriers near the coastline of Odesa region.

During the special operation, the FSB agent network, which included former and current officials of the special services of Ukraine, was neutralized, the SBU reports.

“Among them are former officials of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense and the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, as well as an employee of the regional SBU department. They kept in touch with the same curator – an FSB employee who is currently in temporarily occupied Crimea,” the message reads.

One of the participants, an employee of the SBU, scouted for the occupiers the geolocations of fortifications and engineering barriers near the coastline of Odesa region.

According to the investigation, the FSB recruited  members of the group, using, among other things, threats to kill their families. In addition, for each completed task, the perpetrators received funds from the Russian Federation.

So far, SBU investigators have already notified five members of the Russian intelligence network of suspicion under Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason). They were remanded in custody.
