The future military sailors completed their training on boats

Cadets of the Navy Institute practiced at sea, in particular on boats and motor boats.

The annual sea practice of the first-year cadets of the Navy Institute has ended, the department’s press service reported.

“Future officers of the Navy practiced practical skills in preparing small vessels for navigation and management in various conditions. We went on YAL-6 rowing boats and under sail, as well as on motor boats,” the report says.

In particular, the cadets consolidated the ability to work in a team and completed a leadership course related to the performance of general tactical tasks on land.

Reference. YAL-6 is a rowing boat. A six-oared boat is equipped with one retractable mast, sometimes an outboard motor.
