The government approved changes that speed up customs procedures at ports

The government has approved amendments to the resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which accelerate customs procedures in ports during martial law.
This was reported by the AMEU.
Accelerated customs procedures reduce the time spent by transport and personnel in the risk zone. It also means less contact and movement during air alerts, which is important for the safety of port and terminal employees, forwarders, drivers and everyone who ensures the movement of goods.
What exactly is changing:
• more digital operations; customs can use information about vehicles entering the port to export goods submitted by members of the port community;
• pre-clearance for containers in transit: it is provided for the release of containerized goods into the transit regime (including internal) before the entry of vehicles into the port – if the risk management system has not formed forms of control that require the physical presence of officials;
• priority of customs formalities for goods already loaded into vehicles in ports;
• internal transit of Ukrainian goods – without ensuring payment of customs duties (according to the established norm of the MCU).
Earlier, USM reported that the State Customs Service and the USPA synchronized data on ship calls at seaports.
