The government dismissed the ambassador to Britain and the representative of the IMO
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Vadym Prystayk from the post of ambassador to Great Britain. He was a part-time representative of the IMO.
Prystayko has been working as an ambassador to Britain since July 2020. The corresponding decree No. 442/2023 was published on the website of the head of state, writes Ukrinform.
“To dismiss Vadym Volodymyrovych Prystayk from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and from the position of Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) on a part-time basis,” the document reads.
Since 1994, Prystayko worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in various positions. He was the ambassador of Ukraine to Canada, deputy minister of foreign affairs, headed the mission of Ukraine to NATO. In May 2019, he was appointed deputy head of the Office of the President. On August 29 of the same year, he became the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
