The government has ordered an inspection of Ukrzaliznytsia and other state-owned companies amid the NABU investigation.

The government has ordered a comprehensive audit of all the largest state-owned enterprises, in particular in the energy and defense industries.
Particular attention will be paid to the transparency of procurement and financial control, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko said.
She noted that the supervisory boards of Naftogaz, Ukroboronprom, Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukrhydroenergo and state-owned banks must, within their powers, analyze the activities of the companies’ executive bodies. If violations are identified, they must take additional measures to strengthen control and inform the government.
State-owned companies must also ensure proper and immediate response to reports from law enforcement agencies regarding violations against officials of these joint-stock companies.
In parallel, the State Audit Service will conduct state financial control of large state-owned enterprises, in particular, regarding the effective use of budget funds and the reliability of financial reporting.
USM previously reported that the operators of the Odesa port appealed to the authorities regarding Ukrzaliznytsia’s tariffs.
