The “Grain Agreement” was extended for 120 days

The Black Sea initiative was extended for another 4 months.
The validity period of the Black Sea Grain Initiative was extended for another 120 days. This was announced on his Facebook page by the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov.
“Now the main challenge is to speed up inspections in Turkey. This will allow the world to get even more Ukrainian agricultural products. We are also continuing our work on joining the Mykolaiv Oblast ports to the Grain Initiative and expanding the cargo nomenclature,” said Kubrakov.
In general, from August 1 to today, Ukraine has sent 25 million tons of grain to the countries of Asia, Africa and Europe.
Ukraine started online negotiations with partners regarding the Grain Agreement on March 8. In particular, they wanted to expand the agreement to Mykolaiv port.
Negotiations between the UN and the russian delegation regarding the Black Sea Initiative have been ongoing since March 13. The aggressor country insisted on extending the agreement for only 60 days.
As previously reported by USM, the conclusion of forward contracts for grain deliveries was suspended in the ports of Great Odesa. This happened against the background of russia’s statements about changing the terms of the “Grain Initiative”.
