The Grain from Ukraine initiative is planned to be expanded in 2025

This year, further expansion of the presidential initiative Grain from Ukraine is planned.

This was discussed during a meeting with representatives of the United Nations World Food Program (WFP), the Office of the President reports.

Advisor to the President of Ukraine Vladyslav Vlasyuk said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food have agreed on a preliminary list of products that Ukraine can provide to other countries with the support of the WFP.

In turn, the Director of the UN WFP in Ukraine, Richard Ragan, noted that the organization is interested in oil, and will also consider the possibility of purchasing corn, wheat and peas. He also emphasized that the UN WFP is currently working to speed up the process of supplying products as much as possible.

In particular, it was about increasing assistance to those countries that need it most. A separate focus is food support for the people of Syria.

“Aid to Syria is a very important topic for the President of Ukraine. This is assistance from the Ukrainian nation to the people of Syria, who, like us, know very well what it is like to suffer because of the Russians. We would like to continue our cooperation in ensuring food security,” Vladyslav Vlasyuk noted.
