Oleksandr Buzakov, the general director of the company “Admiralty Shipyards”, which manufactured carrier submarines for the “Kalibr“, died at the age of 67.

The circumstances of death are not known, but the press service of the russian United Shipbuilding Corporation reported on Buzakov’s death.

It is known that during his leadership, “Admiralty Shipyards” began to specialize in the construction of advanced diesel submarines capable of launching Kalibr cruise missiles.

In April, moscow said it used a diesel submarine in the Black Sea to strike Ukraine.

The day before, on December 23, the press service of “Admiralty Shipyards” reported on the launching of the Velyki Luka submarine. Buzakov was present at this event.

Later, Buzakov managed the largest shipbuilding enterprises in St. Petersburg – the Middle Nevsky Shipbuilding Plant and the Northern Shipyard.
