The head of the customs post, Reni, will be tried for bribery

The employees of the SBI completed the pre-trial investigation of the head of the Reni customs post in Odesa. The customs officer demanded a bribe for the export of agricultural products during the blockade of Ukrainian ports.
In the conditions of martial law and the blockade of ports, the customs officer established “tariffs” for each truck and issued Certificates of origin of goods from Ukraine. This is reported on the official website of the SBI of Ukraine.
We will remind that in August the law enforcement officers arrested the official “red handed”. The customs officer wanted to receive more than UAH 150,000 from just one customs broker for the unhindered registration of cars with grain crops and the issuance of 15 certificates.
The indictment has already been sent to the court. The official is accused of receiving an illegal benefit by an official in a responsible position (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 5 to 10 years.
