The head of the “River Ports Administration” was detained for bribery
Law enforcement officers detained the head of the Ukrainian state-owned enterprise “River Ports Administration” while receiving illegal benefits.
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, the suspect was supposed to receive a bribe of $8,500 for concluding a contract for the operation of piers in the Kyiv region for the organization of rest areas and the placement of small architectural forms.
The manager received suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of selecting a preventive measure is being resolved.
“The Ministry emphasizes zero tolerance for corruption of officials, is interested in an objective investigation and helps law enforcement agencies in establishing the truth in every possible way,” the Ministry of Development said.
