The head of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs will go to Russia to discuss the Grain Agreement

Turkey continues to make efforts regarding the Grains Agreement. In the near future, a visit of the Turkish Foreign Minister to Russia is possible, as well as a face-to-face meeting between Erdogan and Putin.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told reporters after his visit to Hungary, TRT Haber reports.

“Our goal in this is a positive attitude of Russia to the issue of the “grain corridor”. In September, the G20 meeting will be held in India and the UN General Assembly in the USA. If we find an opportunity in this busy schedule, we will meet and talk with Mr. Putin face to face,” Erdogan said.

The President of Turkey also announced a possible visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country to Russia.

“Soon, my Minister of Foreign Affairs may pay a visit to the Russian Federation. Because it is very important that this work is face-to-face, so the result will be much more accurate,” said the Turkish leader.

According to him, Turkey hopes for a positive attitude of Ukraine and Russia towards its mediation initiatives.
