The High Anti-Corruption Court has not yet approved the sale of Medvedchuk’s assets: this may affect the sale of the yacht Royal Romance

The ARMA reported that the SHigh Anti-Corruption Court has not yet signed dozens of acceptance and transfer certificates for Medvedchuk’s seized assets.

The ARMA noted that the case has not moved forward from a dead end – the winners of the Prozorro competitions, who paid for the seized assets, have not yet received the property for use.

“We currently have more than 20 such appeals. The winners have paid the funds that have already been received by the state budget,” the department noted.

Earlier, the Assets Tracing and Management Agency (ARMA) complained that the High Anti-Corruption Court had made a decision prohibiting the sale of seized property related to Viktor Medvedchuk. At the same time, the head of ARMA Olena Duma asked whether the same fate awaits Medvedchuk’s seized yacht Royal Romance, the sale of which will bring billions to the budget.

ARMA emphasized that they even received an official response from the Prosecutor General’s Office regarding the reasons for the impossibility of signing the acceptance and transfer acts. In particular, the letter of the UCP refers to the resonant decision of the Supreme Court of Ukraine on the ban on the sale of Medvedchuk’s property.

It is likely that such a delay in the sale process may also affect the sale of the Royal Romance yacht.

Recall that on January 8, ARMA sent another request to begin legalizing the resolution regarding the Royal Romance yacht, which belonged to Medvedchuk.

“Immediately after receiving the legalized decision by a foreign court, a competition will be announced to select the auction organizer,” the message says.

ARMA emphasized that cooperation with law enforcement agencies is key in such cases, and the proper provision of international legal assistance is exclusively the competence of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

“Auction houses have so far expressed interest in participating in such a competition. “This means that Ukraine will be able to receive billions of hryvnias from the sale of the resonant asset of Putin’s godfather, and not half the price in the event of sale as a sanctioned asset,” said ARMA head Olena Duma in an interview with Главком Glavkom.
