The invaders are destroying the entire ecosystem on Dzharylgach Island

The Russians use the protected area of Dzharylgach as a training ground and have already destroyed almost all the vegetation on the island.

The Russian Federation uses Dzharylgach Island near Crimea as a training ground. The occupiers have caused irreparable damage to the ecosystem of the protected area. Ukraine will use the evidence of Russian environmental crimes in an international court, the head of the joint press center of OC “Pivden” Nataliya Humenyuk reported, Ukrinform reports.

Earlier, the deputy director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies, Serhiy Danilov, stated that the Russians had destroyed all the vegetation on the island.

Dzharylgach is the largest island of Ukraine and the Black Sea. The island is located in the Karkinit Bay near the Crimea. The entire territory of the island and part of the adjacent water area is part of the Dzharylgatskyi National Nature Park.

After the start of the full-scale invasion, the Russians occupied the island and covered the crossing to the island with sand to connect it with the occupied part of the Kherson region. Racists set up a military training ground on the island, which created catastrophic consequences for rare ecosystems.
