The invaders of Berdyansk plan to steal 150,000 tons of grain per month

The plan of the invaders to increase transshipment of stolen grain in the Berdyansk port from the current 20,000 tons to 150,000 tons per month.

Intentions to increase the amount of stolen goods were announced during the visit of the Minister of Agriculture of russian federation Dmitrii Patrushev, the Center for Journalistic Investigation writes. The occupiers met the minister on April 14 in Berdyansk.

The mass media note that Patrushev came to “get acquainted with the work of the captured port, namely to increase the transshipment capacity of looted Ukrainian grain.”

In the photo of russian propagandists together with Patrushev in Berdyansk, the so-called head of the occupation “government” of the Zaporizhzhia region Anton Koltsov, the “minister of agriculture and food policy” of the occupied region Svitlana Shevchenko, the “director” of the Berdyansk port Volodymyr Stelmachenko appointed by curators from the FSB, the managers of the company’s administration “State Grain Operator” by russians Nikita Busel and Alexei Jurkin.

Since the beginning of 2023, the rashists have taken at least 70,000 tons of stolen Ukrainian grain through the port. Such data, as the publication writes, are voiced by the invaders themselves.

“In Berdyansk, the first dry cargo of 2023 was spotted on January 15, that is, exactly 3 months ago. It is not difficult to calculate that the occupiers exported an average of 20,000 tons of grain by sea to the occupied Crimea every month. Now they have announced their intention to increase the capacity of the enterprise to ship grain to 150,000 tons every 30 days,” writes the Center for Investigative Journalism.

It is also reported that the day after Patrushev’s visit, on April 15, the same non-self-propelled barge entered the port of Berdyansk to transport grain. She has been spotted in the port water area since the beginning of 2023.

Similar information was published by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its statement dated April 16.

“Yes, in the city of Berdyansk, Zaporizhzhia region, the so-called Russian occupation authorities are trying to export the stolen corn by loading it onto a barge,” the message reads.
