The Russians want to launch sea passenger transportation from the Berdyansk port to connect the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region with Crimea.

Such plans were announced by Yevhen Balytskyi, Gauleiter of the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region, in Moscow, rosZMI reports.

“Next year, we plan to launch the first ferries from the Berdyansk port, so that they can go to the port of Kavkaz, to Kerch, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, respectively, to connect the Zaporizhzhia region with Crimea,” said Gauleiter.

He also noted that the Berdyansk port is of great importance for the economy of the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region and added that he plans to increase transshipment volumes.

We will remind you that it is currently known that the Russian invaders use the port in the occupied Berdyansk as a military base to stockpile military weapons and ammunition and to steal grain from Ukraine. And also through the port, Russian troops deliver a huge amount of heavy weapons and ammunition.
