The Russian invaders plan to display the Ukrainian submarine “Zaporizhia”, captured during the annexation of the peninsula, in a museum in Crimea.
The only submarine of the Navy of Ukrainian Armed Forces “Zaporizhia” of Project 641 will become a museum exhibit for the occupiers and their comrades, reports rosZMI.
The submarine will be placed in one of the museums of Crimea. The “museumification” of the boat is planned to be carried out by the end of 2025.
The B-435 submarine entered the USSR Navy in 1971. In 1997, the submarine left Ukraine as part of the division of the Black Sea Fleet of the Soviet Union. In 2014, during the annexation of Crimea, the submarine crew decided to side with Russia.
USM previously reported that the traitor-captain of the submarine “Zaporizhia” will be tried based on the materials of the SBI: in 2014, he switched to the side of the enemy.
