The vessel underwent dock repairs at the end of September, noted the acting director. general director of UDS Dmytro Moskalenko. Since then, a large amount of work has been carried out: a large part of the metal of the outer skin of the hull has been replaced, the propeller complex (GRK) has been completely repaired with the replacement of all bearings, the hull has been cleaned and painted.

“The plant’s specialists are performing the last stage of work – repair of the main and auxiliary engines. During the repair process, the plant received all necessary materials and spare parts on time and in full,” Moskalenko wrote on Facebook.

Currently, the ship has been lowered from the blind and is being prepared for mooring and sea trials and for presentation to the Shipping Register of Ukraine.

“Captain Glushko” was immediately replaced by the motor ship “Oleshki” (old name “Chelyabinsk”) on the slip. On “Oleshki”, as well as on the “Sofia” already raised on the slip, complex dock repairs are also planned. Both vessels arrived at the plant fully prepared for repair, with all spare parts and material supplies.

Since the beginning of this year, docking works have been completed on the steamships “Sevastopol” (formerly known as “Zvenigorod”) and “Yavoriv” (formerly “Lviv”). Currently, the self-propelled vessel “Nikolai Budnikov” and non-self-propelled barges C-406, SLG-007 and SLG-009 are also in operation at the plant.
