As a result of the terrorist attack on the Kakhovska HPP, which was staged by the Russians, the Kinburn Spit was cut off from the mainland by water.
“Experts predicted that after the explosion of the Kakhovska HPP, the isthmus at the end of the bay outside the Dnipro delta will be almost completely flooded approximately 50 hours after the dam burst,” reports SE “Forests of Ukraine”..
The road in the area of the village of Heroyske in the Kherson region, which connected the peninsula with the mainland, is completely flooded. The braid is completely cut off from the big land.

It is no longer possible to reach the mainland from the Kinburn Spit by land transport.
