The Maritime Administration will maintain the Register of River Infrastructure Facilities
Today, at the meeting, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decree “On approval of the procedure for maintaining the Register of Inland Water Transport Infrastructure”.
The document provides for a new procedure for maintaining the Register of inland water transport infrastructure facilities, the procedure and form for submitting information to the specified Register.
The act also determines the holder and technical administrator of the Register, and the list of information that is indicated by the owners of the relevant facilities in the declaration and, accordingly, are put on the Register. It is also planned to approve the methods of submission, maintenance, procedure, timing and result of recording information into the Register.
In June last year, the draft resolution was published on the website of the Ministry of Infrastructure.
MIU proposes to appoint the Maritime Administration as the holder of the Register, which will collect, keep records, generalize, systematize, analyze and verify the information provided by the owners. The technical administrator of the Register will be a business entity that includes the River Information Service (RIS).
Information in the Register of Inland Water Transport Infrastructure Facilities is entered on the basis of the declaration of the river port (terminal) or the owner (asset holder) of the relevant object on the inclusion of information in such a Register free of charge.
Access to the information of the Register of Inland Water Transport Infrastructure Facilities is open and free. An extract from the Register is a permit document.
