The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine held a meeting of government and business representatives regarding the activation of cooperation with African countries in the agro-industrial sector.

In particular, the participants discussed the support of Ukrainian manufacturers in entering African markets, as well as the expansion of trade and economic cooperation with African countries, reports the Ministry of Agrarian Policy

“The markets of African countries have a significant potential for the development of business-production relations for the Ukrainian agricultural sector”, – emphasized acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyi.

According to him, in the short term, it is about the export of Ukrainian products to the countries of the continent, and in the medium and long term – about the possibility of developing technological partnership. We will remind you that the Russian Federation secretly exports agricultural products and other goods to African countries through India and Turkey. Last year, Russia increased exports to Sub-Saharan Africa to almost 14 billion dollars. Instead, the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to this region amounted to about 180 million dollars
