The Minister of Defense of Turkey discussed the “Grain Agreement” with Ukraine
Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar held talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Oleksiy Reznikov and Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov.
The parties discussed the aissues with the shipment of Ukrainian grain, writes UNN with reference to the Ministry of Defense of Turkey.
“It is very important to continue the grain initiative, which has made a significant contribution to solving the global food crisis by sending approximately 10 million tonnes of grain safely to those in need. All problems can be solved through cooperation and dialogue,” Akar said after the talks.
He noted that the Black Sea grain corridor is much faster and more convenient fortransportation of grain than overland. According to the minister, the shipment of grain is a “purely humanitarian activity” and should be separated from conflict conditions.
Akar said that Turkey will continue to contribute to ensuring peace in the region and providing humanitarian assistance at all levels.
