The Ministry of Agriculture of Poland hopes that the transit of Ukrainian grain will not be banned
The Ministry of Agriculture of Poland believes that there will be no need to stop the transit of agricultural products from Ukraine.
The Minister of Agriculture of Poland, Czeslaw Szekersky, hopes that there will be no need to ban the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products. Radio Svoboda writes about it.
Against the background of the statement by representatives of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine that 90% of foreign trade goes through the ports of Great Odesa and the Danube, in Poland there are fears of stopping the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through the territory of the state.
Sekerskyi believes that by banning transit unilaterally, Poland can get a mirror reaction from the Ukrainian side.
“We have to remember that trade goes both ways. Poland is also an exporter of dairy products, so the other side can take measures in response,” Siekersky stressed.
We will remind, on March 20, representatives of agricultural organizations and the Minister of Agriculture of Poland signed the agreement. One of the points stipulates that Prime Minister Donald Tusk should suspend the transit of agricultural products from Ukraine, which is subject to the embargo, through the territory of Poland.
