The Ministry of Defense is optimistic about the operation of the temporary sea corridor

Ukraine will be able to ensure the supply of grain to other countries thanks to the successful experience of a ship passing through a temporary sea corridor.

This opinion was shared by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov , at a briefing with the Minister of Defense of Bulgaria, Todor Tagarev.

Reznikov reminded that the passage of the vessel from Ukraine to the Bosphorus took place through the territorial waters of Ukraine, Romania, the territorial waters of Bulgaria and Turkey.

“It is hard to imagine that the Russians would so brazenly dare to attack ships in the territorial waters of three NATO countries. And I have hope, I have an optimistic assessment that we will continue to be able to supply Ukrainian food to the rest of the world through such a corridor,” said Reznikov.

In turn, the Minister of Defense of Bulgaria noted that the other day about 100 ships passed in both directions through the Bosphorus. In his opinion, this indicates that the traffic is not stopped.

“Of these vessels, only a few were Ukrainian, but I believe that such work will continue in the future. Of course, it takes time, but we need to make sure that all these communication routes are safe, that there are no provocations from the Russian side,” Tagarev added.

We will remind you that the first ship that passed through the temporary corridor left the port of Odesa on August 16.
