The Ministry of Development and Trade summed up the results of 2024 in the maritime industry

In 2024, the ports of Great Odesa processed over 73 million tons of cargo. Another 16 million were transshipped by Danube ports.
This was reported by the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
In 2024, 91.1 million tons of cargo were processed in the seaports of Ukraine, of which:
• 73.4 million tons fell on the Ukrainian sea corridor to/from the ports of Great Odesa;
• 16.5 million tons on the Danube ports.
A total of 10,193 ship calls were provided. Thus, 2,871 ship calls were made via the sea corridor, and 7,322 via the Danube.
“To the achievements in the field of sea and inland water transport, it is worth adding the modernization of vessels and the commissioning of new pilot boats,” the ministry noted.
In addition, the digital services sector also developed actively.
We remind you that through the “Diya” portal, sailors were able to execute documents remotely, which saved over 600 thousand dollars.
