The Ministry of Reconstruction shared a plan for port infrastructure for 2024

The team of the Ministry of Reconstruction held a final meeting, during which the relevant managers presented the progress in their directions for the past year and plans for the future.

An important task for the ministry was the reconstruction of critical infrastructure facilities and the construction of protective structures around them, said Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine.

Among the priorities for 2024, Oleksandr Kubrakov defined, in particular, the continuation of the development of export logistics, as the main component of the economic recovery of Ukraine:

• Increasing the capacity of automobile checkpoints, railways, and sea ports

• Development of the Danube port cluster as the main alternative export sea route

• Restoration and repair of roads, railway tracks

• Restoration of bridges

• Improvement of relevant transport legislation

• Implementation of European energy efficiency standards

The minister thanked the military and also reminded that thanks to joint efforts it was possible to launch the Ukrainian corridor across the Black Sea.

“It has already dispatched 241 ships with almost 8.6 million tons of cargo, which is a huge contribution to strengthening our economic stability,” Kubrakov noted.
