The Netherlands will allocate 400 million euros for maritime and other drones for Ukraine

The Netherlands announced the allocation of 400 million euros to support Ukraine, aimed at the development and supply of drones.

Almost half of them will be developed in the Netherlands itself. The Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Ruben Brekelmans, announced this on the   social network X .

He noted that the funds are allocated within the framework of the national action plan for the development of unmanned technologies for the Ukrainian military. According to the minister, this project includes all types of drones — for reconnaissance, defense and attacks, which can be used both in the air and on land and sea.

This aid package is part of a larger international initiative, the Drone Coalition, which has already been joined by Great Britain, Latvia, France, Poland and other countries. The initiative is aimed at accelerating the production of drones.
