The new boat started its service with the Navy of Ukraine


The Naval Forces of Ukraine adopted a small armored boat. The ship was named after the city of Bucha.

On the morning of May 26, the small armored artillery boat “Bucha” officially entered service with the Navy. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The main purpose of the vessel will be patrolling in the near sea zone and rivers. The boat will also protect the port infrastructure and counter probable enemy landings.

Reference: “Bucha” is a small armored artillery boat of project 58155 (code “Gyurza-M”). The ship was developed by the Research and Design Center of Shipbuilding (DPCC). The boat was built at the “Kuznia na Rybalskyi” enterprise in Kyiv. The ship was launched in September 2021.

The boat’s armament includes two “Katran-M” combat modules. The modules are equipped with a ZTM-1 30-mm automatic cannon, a KBA-117 30-mm automatic grenade launcher, and a KT 7.62-mm machine gun, as well as two Barrier ATGMs.
