The new commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation hides ships, says an expert
The ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation are trying to protect against the attacks of the Armed Forces. They also try not to take risks with missile carriers.
Defense Express naval expert, retired captain of the first rank, Volodymyr Zablotskyi, told about this.
According to him, the new commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, Serhii Pinchuk, does not behave particularly actively. This is due to the task of preserving the ships, as well as the fact that they are trained for the classic war of the past, and not for the war of the future, elements of which we already see here.
“If we look at the general situation, then the new commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation may not do much. His task, apparently, really is to preserve the remnants of this fleet. Who knows how the situation will turn out later, as they think. But it cannot be ruled out that the harsh peace conditions that will follow this war will deprive Russia of the right to have the Black Sea Fleet altogether. This already happened once after the Crimean War,” the expert notes.
Rocket carriers are also not actively used. First, Kalibr-type missiles are intercepted and shot down, and secondly, they try not to take risks with carriers.
“The commander of the Black Sea Fleet (or rather, the flotilla, although formally it remains a fleet) is doing everything to hide, hide, secure these ships, to reserve for himself, that is, for Moscow, the right to have some argument at peace negotiations in the future,” he emphasizes Volodymyr Zablotskyi.
At the same time, the transfer of ships from the shipyard in Kerch on the Volga to Zelenodolsk is observed. Two small missile ships of the Karakurt type (these are the future Kalibr carriers) were transferred there by the Russians for completion.
In particular, the evacuation of the property of the technical management of the Black Sea Fleet has been ongoing from Sevastopol for the second month.
“It is about the fact that it is impossible to ensure basing in the ports of the Caucasus, in particular on the occupied territory of Georgia, without spare parts, without the need to make repairs and so on. And all this is only in Sevastopol. But it is dangerous in Sevastopol,” the expert explains.
