The new pilot boat “Hennadiy Zhuravkov” was put into operation in the port of Reni

Today, July 17, the state flag was raised on the pilot boat “Hennadiy Zhuravkov” in the seaport of Reni.

As reported in the USPA , the boat was built in Ukraine with funding from USAID as part of the “Economic Support of Ukraine” Project. The name of the ship was given in honor of the captain of the first rank, Gennady Zhuravkov, who worked at the Delta-pilot branch for more than 20 years, and held the position of head of the Odesa regional department of the state enterprise USPA.

“Today I am very pleased to be here and see that the memory of my husband lives on, because the pilot boat was named after him,” says his wife Nataliya Zhuravkova.

Dmytro Rudyavskyi, the head of the fleet service of the “Delta – pilot” branch, handed over to the family of the captain a photo of the boat and commemorative documents of the Shipping Administration, about the assignment of the pilot boat to the name of “Hennadiy Zhuravkov”.

“From now on, the name of “Gennadiy Zhuravkov” will be heard again on the airwaves of the seaports of Ukraine,” summarized the USPA.

Previously, USM reported that USPA will spend 829 million on infrastructure repairs and dredging.
