The Orlivka Ferry Complex celebrates its fifth anniversary

In honor of the fifth anniversary, every driver who crosses the border today through the Orlivka-Isaccea ferry receives a bottle of wine specially bottled for this date as a gift.

This was announced by the founder of the Orlivka ferry complex, Yuriy Dimchoglo.

On Tuesday, August 12, it was exactly five years since the launch of the first flights on the newly built Orlivka-Isaccea ferry.

That day, two flights were made, and in a few days the ferry was already making 8-10 trips per day. Today, two ferries operate on the line around the clock, departing every 30 minutes.

In honor of the fifth anniversary, an event is being held – every driver who crosses the Ukrainian border today through the Orlivka-Isaccea ferry in any direction on the Ukrainian side receives a bottle of red or white Budzha wine bottled by the Bolgrad TM. The wine was bottled especially for the fifth anniversary of the Orlivka Ferry Complex and has the appropriate labeling.

Let us remind you that today the Orlivka-Isaccea ferry crossing is the shortest route from Ukraine to the countries of Southern Europe and Turkey.

“Orlivka-Isaccea” is the first new European-style checkpoint in Ukraine since independence. In this place, the full-flowing Danube narrows to 900 m. Before the war, it took only 7 minutes to cross the river.

The crossing is also called the “ferry to the EU”, since on the opposite side there is direct access to the European corridor E87, which passes through Isaccea and connects to Constanta, the largest Romanian seaport.

“We would like Orlivka to be used as a large-scale logistics hub. In fact, today it is a multimodal complex, since both sea and road transport pass through us. In particular, tourist buses heading to Bulgarian resorts cross the border through our checkpoint, there can be 30-40 buses per day. We are ready to expand our infrastructure, but everything depends not only on us,” Yuriy Dimchoglo emphasized in an interview with USM last year.
