The Port of Chornomorsk has resumed transshipment of imported steel after a 10-year pause

More than 20 thousand tons of metal billets have already been processed, and new batches are being prepared for arrival.
SE “Sea Trade Port “Chornomorsk” has begun transshipment of steel billets for the first time in over a decade. This was reported by the press service of the enterprise.
According to the port director Vyacheslav Bezruk, work with metal cargoes became possible thanks to system modernization and logistical changes. More than 20 thousand tons of cargo have already been processed, and the next batch is expected in the near future.

Transshipment of steel billets is of strategic importance: it serves as raw material for Ukrainian industrial enterprises, supports jobs and provides additional revenue to the budget.
USM also previously wrote that the port of Chornomorsk will carry out repairs of berths for UAH 50 million.
